1. Product Overview
P0916JQ is a compression-type passive Field Termination Assembly (FTA) exclusively matched with Foxboro FBM204 / FBM205 4-channel 4–20mA analog I/O fieldbus modules under I/A Series DCS platform. It is a pure wiring transition terminal without any signal processing, isolation or power supply circuits, acting as the physical connection bridge between rack-mounted FBM cards and field 4–20mA transmitters, valve positioners and VFD analog signals. Adopting spring compression terminal structure instead of traditional screw ring lugs, it greatly simplifies field wiring construction: insert stripped wire directly into spring clamp without crimping lugs, reduce wiring time and loose contact failure risks. The terminal board divides 4 independent analog loops into separated terminal groups, each loop equipped with dedicated short-circuit test pins, which allow technicians to short the signal loop for calibration and troubleshooting without disconnecting field cables. A dedicated multi-core shielded flat ribbon cable connects the P0916JQ termination assembly to the rear port of FBM204/FBM205 rack card, realizing fully isolated analog signal transmission and minimizing electromagnetic interference from pump, fan and compressor auxiliary equipment. The whole unit is fixed on standard 35mm DIN rail inside DCS cabinets, arranged neatly with other FTA terminal blocks to standardize cabinet wiring layout. The PCB base plate adopts industrial anti-corrosion conformal coating, conforming to ISA S71.04 Class G3 harsh industrial standard, suitable for power plant, petrochemical and offshore Zone2 control room environments. Foxboro has stopped original production of P0916JQ, and the updated RH916JQ series is the direct replacement model; currently only surplus new and fully tested refurbished spare parts are supplied for maintenance and renovation of aging I/A Series analog I/O systems.
